(The regular agenda was preceded by the Annual Corporation Meeting which resulted in the usual approval.)
FINANCE COMMITTEE & TREASURER, Ginger.. . .by reducing the amount placed in the Building fund ($1000), income outpaced outgo by small amount ( 12,440 / 12,325) in 2001. The meeting then examined, and after discussion and suggestions for minor changes, approved the budget for 2002 ($11,436) with hearty thanks to the committee for its work.
PEACE & SOCIAL CONCERNS, David. .. .The committee will be drafting a minute addressing the military response to the September 11 attacks and a letter to the president concerning the possible expansion of military activities. Both will be available for consideration at upcoming Meetings. The Peace Pole project moves forward: David has lists of possible languages; if you want input, contact him. The meeting used a donation from the Luetke-Stahlman family to start a Peace Pole Fund.
LIBRARY, Marc . .The meeting expressed appreciation for the fine job Marc has done with the library.. .the end-of-the-year report will be printed in the newsletter.
MINISTRY & OVERSIGHT, Cathy. . . .The committee discussed library issues, ways to help new attenders feel welcome and included, and unresolved issues. Concerning the latter, the committee suggests that those feeling a need of assistance in resolving old issues, contact them so that a clearness committee can be formed. LIBRARY
Report. . .more shelving is needed before the cataloging
can be finished. Everyone concerned with the type of
shelving should meet with Mark on Dec. 16. The meeting
approved of a "reserved" shelf for Quaker education resources.
PROGRAM, Amy. . .We will be getting started with the Quaker Education series on the 13 & 27; put those dates on you calendar!
HOUSE UPKEEP, Brenda. . . .She presented a list of possible projects for the coming year. We approved for immediate action some repair needs; the remainder will be brought to our attention as the committee deems necessary.
OTHER. . . .a suggestion to look at and perhaps adopt guidelines for potlucks as used by the Bear Creek Meeting was referred to M & O.
