MEETING FOR WORSHIP WITH ATTENTION TO BUSINESS, first month, second day
Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business, held on the first month, second day, with Karin McAdams, clerk, and Marc
Robinson, recording clerk, had 16 members and attenders present.
The annual corporation
meeting was held and Meeting approved the
following officers for this year: Karin McAdams,
president; Marc Robinson, secretary; and Ginger
Kenney, Treasurer.
Committee Reports:
Finance: (Ginger) December receipts were
$765.00 and expenses were $688.79. The current
operating balance is $2,142.07. Expenses in
2004 outpaced annual receipts, $12,326 to
$11,409. Appreciation was expressed to Ginger
and to the finance committee for work on the
2005 budget of $13,096, which was approved.
Ministry and Oversight (Karin): The profiles of
people in Meeting which have been written by
Minta Kenney will be collected into a book. IYM
disciplines revision process was discussed. The
retreat for January 29-30 was planned further.
Money and registration information should be
sent to Ginger K.
Education (Nancy): The committee hosted a
program on Quakers and holidays.
Peace and Social Concerns (Rachel): Throughout this month, book donations will be collected
at the meetinghouse and donated to local jails
through Heartland Book Bank. Westerns. Sci-fi
and young-adult books are needed.
Meeting approved taking $200.00 out of
the Virginia Oldham fund to donate to AFSC for
the relief efforts following the Asian tsunami.
Friends are encouraged to give through AFSC or
other reputable agency. Go to afsc.org to donate
to AFSC's crisis fund.
Karin is registered for the clerking
workshop on May 20-21 at Pendle Hill in Penn-
sylvania. Meeting approved $400.00 to cover the
expenses. |
