MEETING FOR WORSHIP WITH ATTENTION TO BUSINESS, Third Month, Fifth Day, 2006
Jim Kenney, acting clerk
Gary Marx, acting recording clerk
The meeting opened with silence, and a reading
of a psalm about “knowing.”
The Ministry and Oversight report was read and
accepted, including agreement to move Meeting
for Worship with Attention to Business to April 9
to accommodate Iowa Mid-Year Meeting on
April 1. Other adjustments to weekly programs
also accepted.
Finance Committee report was read and
accepted. Givings were up in January and
February, but we are still spending more than we
are taking in.
Publications Committee report was read and
accepted after discussion of binding past
newsletters, including an offer from one member
to help finance the endeavor. Publications
Committee was asked to continue exploring
options on binding.
Considered a request from Grace Community, a
“non-church” group, to use the Meeting House
on Saturdays (from 7 to 9 p.m.) as a music
rehearsal site. Some monetary offering would be
involved. It was decided to ask Jim to further
negotiate with the group about sharing the
Meeting House on those nights where we might
have a conflict with our Game Nights.
The meeting closed with silence.
