MEETING FOR WORSHIP WITH ATTENTION TO BUSINESS, first month, second day
Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business, Fourth month, Third day;
with Karin McAdams, clerk, and Marc
Robinson, recording clerk, had 17 members and attenders present.
Committee Reports:
Finance: (John) March receipts were $640 and
expenses were $498. The current operating
balance is $898.
House Upkeep (Grant): Repair work is planned
and will be accomplished by volunteer labor.
Appreciation was expressed to Terry Matz for
caring for the yard flowers and to Brenda Funk
for mowing and caring for the house.
Ministry and Oversight (Nancy): Consideration
was given to concerns about the relationship of
Meeting to IYM and about the Yearly Meeting’s
apportionment formula. The concerns will be
considered at next month’s meeting.
Publications (Donnie): The newsletter will be
available by email for those who wish to receive
it in that manner. Newsletters via email will save
53 cents in postage and printing per newsletter.
Other Business:
__A group called Scouting for All has a statement
which Meeting has been asked to endorse
along with many other organizations. The statement,
which calls for Boy Scouts of America to
end its discrimination against homosexuals and
non-theists, will be considered next month.
__Information was shared about the house next
door to the Meetinghouse (north). The house will
be auctioned on April 16. After worshipful
consideration of the matter, no sense of the
Meeting to bid on the house emerged. However,
renewed energy surfaced for contemplating our
housing and budgetary resources. Several friends
spoke of plans and ideas for using our current
house. A future program will seek a sense of
mission and will consider projects which bring
us together for Friendly purposes.
