Seventh Month, Second Day
Kevin Chafin, Acting Clerk and Ginger Kenney, Recording Clerk. . .24 members and attenders were present.
Treasurer's report, Kent Luetke-StahIman.. .into the operational fund, $1,180.77; checking account balance, $78.
A look at our "financial state of the meeting" at mid year: Income, 46% of that budgeted. We have paid all of our insurance and
special donations. We are over budget in the categories of insurance, gas, property maintenance and communication.
House Upkeep Committee.. .We enthusiastically entrusted Brenda Funk and the committee with the painting of the front
door of the meetinghouse. Peace & Social Concerns Committee, David Rommel... We appreciated the energy of the
committee and the detailed report. We considered two items in depth. We approved participation in the Back-to-School
Project of Midtown Ministries and decided to sponsor one child at $50 from the outreach fund and to also accept donations
from individuals in the hopes of sponsoring additional children. If interested, earmark the check with "child" and get it to
Kent or Rick Yarnell by July 16. (by the end of the time together, enough had been collected to buy new clothes, etc., for
4 1/2 children). Secondly, we approved the use of the meetinghouse for the meeting, probably during the last week of July, of the
KC Star
project. Ministry & Oversight report, Sheila Shinn. . .a lengthy and helpful discussion was held concerning the
Health of the Meeting Report that will be sent to Iowa Yearly Meeting. This report can be found on another page of this
newsletter.Program, Lee Morehouse. . .see schedule on this page, note the change in the August Meeting for Worship with
Attention to Business and plan to attend the musical performance. OTHER: approved yearly reports from Ministry & Oversight,
