Meeting for Worship With Attention to Business

Jim Kenney, clerk, Karin McAdams, recording clerk, 13 members and attenders present
Treasurer's Report, Ginger Kenney: $990, income; $527.95, outgo; balance of $722.32 to begin the month; Friends
complimented the treasurer for her diligence; the treasurer praised the meeting for its contributions for the month.
Peace and Social Concerns: Marc read the report written by David Rommel; the back-to-school project netted $250 for
clothes/supplies for needy children as they start school; Peace Pole inscriptions to begin, contact David if you wish
to help; now is the time to contact your representatives if you oppose administration plans to initiate military
operations in Iraq.
Ministry and Oversight: had a serious discussion on our spiritual community, especially the lingering effects
of past events where there were unsolved misunderstandings; the meeting approved the M&O suggestion to schedule and
announce a meeting to work on open issues; a beginning discussion on process will be held next Sunday, August 11 at
9 a.m. at the Quaker Education meeting held at the meetinghouse and the results will be referred back to the M&O
Committee for further discussion.
