Meeting for Worship With Attention to Business
eleventh month, third day, 2002

Jim Kenney, clerk, Karin McAdams, recording clerk, 14 members and attenders present

Treasurer, Ginger: $2075.90 in operating budget. "Doing well;" we need funds to carry over into the new year for early large expenditures. If you are buying for the meetinghouse, call Ginger for the tax number and accompanying letter.

Peace & Social Concerns: No report. The meeting did allot $100 from VOPS to AFSC in support of its upcoming full page ad on Iraqi policy in the KC Star. Penn Valley Meeting of Friends (Quakers) will be listed; individuals are urged to do so also (donation not necessary, but welcome). See more info in AFSC notes.

House Upkeep, John: we have a new light in the kitchen and a new lawnmower.

Ministry & Oversight, Cathy: The major item of business this month was the recommendation to the November meeting for worship with attention to business of members for the nominating committee for next year's committees. Brenda Funk, Ginger Kenney, Marc Robinson, Karen McAdams and Reva Griffith. We also reflected on spiritual needs within the meeting and hope to find ways to be responsive to these needs.

Other: Nancy Moon announced further meetings for those interested in the Talking Staff.
