Friends' Recipes
An easy recipe to make with your kids:
Pumpkin Tea Bread
(makes 2 loaves)
Beat:
4 eggs slightly
Add:
2 cups pumpkin (1 15 oz. can)
3 cups sugar
1 cups oil
Put together separately:
3 ½ cups flour
1 ½ tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. each: cloves, cinnamon, allspice,
nutmeg
Add dry ingredients alternatively to the
wet ingredients with 1/3 cup water.
Grease and flour bread pans. Don’t fill
the pans more than half full, as the
bread will rise high during baking.
Bake at 350 degrees for one hour, or
one hour 15 minutes (until toothpick inserted
in center comes out clean).

Casserole
Small bag fine noodles
2–8 oz. can tomato
sauce
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 cup chop onion
1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
bay leaf
garlic
parsley
salt and pepper
Worcestershire sauce
Cook noodles and
drain.
Brown meat, add
seasonings.
Combine cheese and
sour cream.
Alternate layers of
noodles, cheese aand
meat in casserole dish.
Make top layer meat
spread thinly.
Bake 1 hr at 375
degrees.
