Many Opportunities for Service

As most of you have no doubt noticed unprogrammed Quaker meetings do not have ministers, secretaries, custodians and other hired lackeys. We at Penn Valley Meeting are truly a do-it-yourself operation. Thus it behooves us all to jump right in and become involved in one (or more) of the many committees or positions which help to keep our spiritual home healthy and productive. Since the Nominating Committee has begun its work in nominating persons to fill the various positions and committees for the coming year, you might be helped by a brief description of each so that when your telephone rings, you can give a knowledgeable "yes."
